The document incorporates a neat plan coloured green in outline, showing the relative positions of properties of Mr. C.S. Pilcher, Mr. Geo. Morphett, Mr. Jno Body, Mr. Hinds, Commissioners of Level, the road to Portmans Heath, etc.. Other persons mentioned include Thomas Godwin, of Barbon, co. John Thompson, of Kidbrook, clerk: lease of a messuage, a dwellinghouse, and premises in the hamlet of Kidbrook, “abutting on the North or front thereof on the Turnpike Road leading from Shooters Hill to Blackheath and on the South, West, and East sides thereof on land now or late belonging to The Right Honourable the Earl of St. Germans”. The messuage was known as Kidbrook House. The document incorporates and refers to a coloured ground plan of the property being leased, showing also the turnpike road from Shooters Hill to London and the land of the Earl of St. Germans. A single large sheet of vellum, bearing one red seal and one blue revenue stamp, signatures of witnesses on reverse side; in good condition, some spotting, folded. £25.00
