[Manuscripts] 3 school bills for the attendance of Master Threlfall at Ham Grammar School, 1833-35. The half-yearly charge for board and tuition was 18-18-0, with washing at 1-1-0. Charges were also made for disbursements under standard headings for pens, ink and paper, pocket money, dancing, drawing (with materials), mending linen, pen at chapel, cutting hair, shoemaker, tailor, apothecary, coach hire, parcels and letters, and school library. There are also occasional charges for other items, including breakages and excursions. The school was run by Revd. Joseph France, and the receipts were signed by James France.
