[Manuscript]  1876 indenture, between Samuel Hammersley, late of Fenton but now of Rugeley, greengrocer, of the first part, Harriet Wood, of Burslem, widow, of the second part, and Edward Withinshaw Hollinshead, of Tunstall, gentleman, of the third part: re conveyance of two messuages and premises in Slater Street, Burslem, nos. 30 and 28, now or late in the occupations of Hamlet Kettle and Peter Davies.  The reverse side includes the signatures of witnesses.  Written on a single sheet of vellum, three red seals, one blue revenue stamp, in very good condition, folded.  £12.00

 

[Manuscript]  1860 indenture, between William Ellis, of Princes End, p. Tipton, grocer, of the one part, and Joseph Hipkins, of the same, provision merchant, of the other part: re mortgage of a messuage, shop, etc., adjoining the Bull’s Head Inn, at Princes End, for securing £350 and interest at £5 percent per annum.  Other persons mentioned include Sarah Morrall, Benjamin Smith, Thomas Morrall, [blank] Craddock, [blank] Morris, Francis Sanders, and William Garratt.  The reverse side includes the signatures of witnesses.  Written on a single sheet of vellum, one red seal, one blue revenue stamp, in very good condition, folded.  £13.00
